i am still having a tough time not only drawing but finishing anything i start drawing, so here are some rejected robots from "the space film" from my sketch book. i don't have a scanner, so i redrew a few of them in photoshop. it seems to be all i can muster for drawing, because i started several RT monsters and some dragons and can't seem to comfortably finish any...

hang'n around at work....this new thing at work is about wrapped up, and i've been hanging around in case something needed some animation tweaking. whilst waiting, i drew this:

then i did this, to see if i still knew how to use photoshop, because i have been animating in flash for about 5 days straight now. photoshop is a total breath of fresh air.

the coloring, the more i see it, is atrocious, but this was very very very very relaxing.....haaaaaaa..........

yes, have i ever mentioned how great Flash CS4 is? how nice and stable it is? how useful 3d rotation and bones are? i haven't? woah!

the 48 Hour showcase was yesterday, and although the shorts were phenominal, it left me feeling extremely artistically frustrated (i think the combination of superior films coupled with my team's incomplete film tripled with having to work on a project i really don't want to work on today)

so...i took a moment to draw something i might try to animate in photoshop. i still am considerably intimidated by the notion, but i've been wanting to do it for a year.



but i don't know yet, i don't know quite where these are going and i still have at least 3 little projects set aside already and i should clear them up first.

oh yeah, and the 48 hour film...i'll link it when it gets finished, which may be soon.

all of the things i've been drawingon the computer lately are dragons or various reptilia, have you noticed?

the top is my Left 4 Dead icon. the dragon was actually drawn in Flash several months ago, but i set it aside and forgot it.

i've only been drawing people this week and i'm thinking of buying a scanner for myself, the 48 hour film is about finalized-and the final thing will be shown tommorrow, going to a birthday party tonight, and working all weekend.

was wrapping up 48 hour film stuff, buuuut.....yeah.

work is crazy and i haven't recovered from 48 hour films yet, so i haven't even had a chance to play Left 4 Dead 2 (probably tonight).

had some time today for some drawing, and this is it.

hung out and saw alot of Calarts folks this week, that was cool. also bought Robocop 3 and Hotshots for cheaps, and saw Star Crash last night. Star Crash is awesome. i still can't figure out if the robot couldn't bend hus elbows because of the costume or because that was his acting choice as a robot.

there is also Rock Band at the office now. it is very very noisy...and lots of fun.

qiuckness for monthies, which may (more than likely) be going to go on a little break. probably not forever, but a good piece of time since everybody is preoccupied

hi yall! i actually have been drawing alot lately, but it's all for secrety-work stuff, so i am sorry to say i may not be posting for quite some time. but here is this amusing drawing of a stegasaurus!

maybe for this month i will tell you about my week instead of posting drawings! like today, i am going to someone's birthday and tommorrow a Halloween party which will be fun. On tuesday, my dying cell phone was finally put to rest by the Washing machine, which marks the end of like...my 7th phone now. the previous phones have been stollen, mysteriously lost, broken prior to my having them, or dropped in puddles or exploding soda cans. this new one will hopefully not have to suffer such fates, but looking at previous events...

this week i watched 2001 Space Odyssey and Mind Game, and i very much like and hardly understand both. i would like to read the 2001 books...

i am also trying to not play Left 4 Dead for the whole week. i've gotten pretty far, but the coworkers make it pretty tough.

lastly, last weekend i had a "big" road trip to the Mojave preserve as well as the Arizona State line (we didn't have enough time to get into AZ unfortunately). it was extremely stress relieving, and maybe i will post the photos once i get them scanned, that way you can see some sand dunes, some crazy kids on a bunch of rocks, Terrence and Marti.
the one weird thing about the desert is it is full of tires, glass, and panties. i am not sure what makes it a good place to dump your undergarments...

now i hope everybody has a good halloween and weekend and a next week! i will try to manufacture some non-work-drawings if i can...

oh yeah! tonight i went to see the Girls Drawing Girls show at Hayena(or some other spelling?) and hung out with Calarts chums and got some coffee at a mexican restaurant whilst purchasing 2 small canvas paintings of delicious meats. i am going to hang them on my wall! i also bought a magnetic Jesus Dressup, so that i may have more magnets for my fridgidaire! and tommorrow(or today i guess) i hope to see Where the Wild Things Are to top off a fine weekend.


in other past events (which i always forget to report) i saw Zombieland which was awesome and i bought the Metroid Prime Trilogy...which i really shouldn't have because i 1: technically have the trilogy and 2: find it highly distracting from spare-time-drawing/working.

i also need to catch up on some drawing and painting i actually need to get out of the way, but there are no places to buy nice paints here in Burbank-that is unless i am missing a brilliant art store near by??? maybe?

i've definitely hit some kind of art block, so this is all i got: a couple of Monster Blog sketches can't quite seem to finish...or start
