some stuff i had off hand, and i'm sleepy so i'm making this quick;

i don't remember drawing this, but clearly it was after i watch Neon Genesis this summer and got a little obsessed with it. so beautiful, so freaking confusing!! then i heard Rebuild was supposed to remedy some the confusion, but that was mostly worse cause everything was different but the same and there were whole chunks of the original show tossed in and some chick who was stupid and made no sense.

anyways, i got a little mech0-obsessed for a moment. i also clearly didn't have enough love for it to color it properly.
and this guy's from a page of beasts, just the most finished of them from a late night at work.

i'm too tired to think of anything else to add, i'll be posting again later this weekend.

weeell, if you click on it it'll take you to a simple loop i did earlier before leaving work. still haven't figured out swf. embedding.

it was a cat, but i wound up liking it better without ears. so it's more like a legged olive with a tail.

animating with the pencil tool in flash is actually kinda difficult, since it doesn't follow the path you lead all the time.

i love when cats get those crazy eyes and do something bizarre. why do they do that? what prompts a cat to run up and down the hall, chew up a plant, then do a backflip off of a couch? it's a wonderful mystery

quick cool down for the day, i don't quite enjoy drawing on a bamboo anymore. i'm ready for a Cyntiq workspace.

then instead of finishing, went and watched a bunch of random videos.

another Fraffle at Titmouse today (or yesterday) which was great, saw new episodes and projects, first finished episode of the project i've been working on was shown, someone brought in cookies which were delicious, i ate Lemongrass Vietnamese food.

my home internet has been down since friday, but now that it's up again i am too sleepy to do anything right now. going to try to post later or this weekend.

since i didn't have internet to distract me, i cleaned and rearranged my room this weekend. i have 3 bookshelves now! they're not really assembled or hung or anything, but i have them!

trying out flash players and junk for blogger, so far found out about Google sites which are nice.

i don't want to get into coding, but maybe it would be worth learning? at least to have a little player ready to go...

in terms of any drawings coming up, i have alot of papers i should scan. tonight, though, i am cleaning my room a bit and tomorrow i am doing laundry. so not today or tomorrow, but soonish.

i did draw alot of stuff at a party newyearseve, but i forgot to grab them.

still having some difficulty drawing, so i went through some of my folders and found this;

it was pretty much fully sketched, i don't know why i have so many unfinished things.

found ALOT of paper sketches as well but i really don't want to hook up the scanner.....meeeehhhhhh....so much effort...

it was late when i found this too, so i didn't color it, just lined it and filled in a couple missing bits.

i shouldn't have done that either, i have to get up early to go take care of some car business.

this is a weird drawing. i do like the feet and hands, it's just everything else in the middle is weird

HELLO AGAIN!

i offer this as a returning gift for what i hope will be a more productive year (in terms of blog postings)

(this was a test of a new paint setting in PS5, which is pretty cool despite being mostly impractical in a work setting)

and with the mention of new things, i have recently begun working at Titmouse Inc. it's been pretty awesome so far.

i've also moved to a new place recently and my room is still unorganized. so right now i am battling a dangerous urge to tidy and organize by posting this blog post then getting back to drawing.

but i really want to cleeeeeaann....

SO, if there isn't a blog post in a bit, i either started cleaning instead or forgot.

i guess; drawing this is the only really good thing that happened today. i think i will go home to try drawing some more now

so suddenly i am a background artist. i thought it would be alot harder than it is, but i think i did okay today. learned quite a bit...

doing that also inspired me to finish some more things that have been floating around, like a couple of colorful RT monsters...

i think i like designing and layout better than animation now, it's a little more relaxing, probably because i don't have to think about flash complications.

found this in one of my folders and decided to wrap it up.

first off are a couple Rising Tide related things, the bug one i guess i never posted here, and the other is from a couple weeks ago-but i forgot to post it too.

i hope everybody had a good holiday, i sure did! 3 whole days of snow made me feel alot better...i think part of my drawing slump was not getting away from Burbank.

so today and the past few days i have been thinking more and more about the Fu dog and fish-monkey-blue guy, and even though work is looking a little overbearing this coming year, i want to try to finish a short film with them. at the least a little test. i have alot of other things i need to clear away first, but i still want to do it. so, here's hoping!
