 i drew glasses on someone's mike last week, and accidentally discovered a completely different Mike. Still a jerk, but a different jerk.

in relation to things underground, i've been playing so many little indie and downloadable content games!! i rediscovered Windosill(above!), started Cuboid, played through Journey many many times, and borrowed Sword & Sworcery and Fruit Ninja off of a friend's ipad.

soon enough, i will buy (borrow) an xbox for the sole purpose of defeating Fez. and maybe Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

DOUBLE CRASH

Flash crashed, i lost a little, i decided to cut those little losses and draw before going home.

Photoshop crashed, i lost a bunch, i drew a mike on what was left.

got talking with a coworker about Drive, and i wanted to draw something, and this is as far as i got.

i met him once, and he liked a painting i did, and i was really happy. SO HAPPY.

on mention of fanart, i've been wanting to do something of Attack the Block- which was far and away my favorite movie this year!

so maybe the next late night i will keep that in mind.

feelin' sleepy, too. can't get bulldogs off the brain!!

went to the Mook release party at Gallery Nucleus tonight. finally got both Mooks. i have seen this and that of vol. 2 for months now, and i can finally sit down and read the whole thing.

i've never even gotten a good hard look at vol. 1, and now i can read that one too.

and while i was overwhelmed with all the things to buy at nucleus, i managed to make off with just one framed Jon Klassen print.

3 day weekend!!

i even feel a little like drawing.

all i have, though, is my old bamboo.

i have been updating most of my everything for a couple months, but for now i'm taking a break in between a new home (!!!) and a nice beefy computer. one that i can work from home on, and never go back outside. i'll become one of those reclusive and mysterious freelance animators.

but that's only if i get a really amazing computer, one that can deliver groceries and play Minecraft with all of those crazy shadow and water reflection mods. i will probably have just a good computer.

refurbishing and cleaning house!! it's been a long time, and i'm pretty sure a good portion of the links are out of date.

SKID

just something quick. been doing some action animation for work (which is GREAT) and alsooo watching too much anime.
so, one with color and one with just the clipping mask, because i like something about it.

but in the end, it doesn't really matter because the part i'm happy with is the shadow. just the shadow.

didn't post last week, but didn't finish this drawing either. my work comp. has been really sluggish, with or without all of my itunes and youtube playlists and search panels and server files open. i tried deleting and backing up all of my biggest files, but it's still slow.

slow enough that drawing in photoshop is a chore, so this is it! missing teeth, missing shadows, and going home to sleep! and eat cookies!

as far as life, i went on a devastating hike this weekend. it was incredible, but since yesterday it has been really hard to sit down or stand up, or even walk about without feeling like one of my knees is going to give and i'm gonna fall on the floor, and there will be nothing around to pull myself up!!

worth it, though. clinging to cliffs, seeing some extra waterfalls, baby rattlesnake, looking down at tiny and bewildered hikers, and watching Insidious afterwards with ghost stories and a bunch of junk food.

Insidious starts really well, then gets a little lost and confused and winds up being pretty funny. and scary. but only once in a while.

i wanna draw!!

but i have been drawing all day! so now if i want to draw, i can't think of anything! beh!

eh, i can draw things sometimes, but never finish with things like color or background. stinking background....

had a bit of a drawing outburst after getting back from dinner.

it's great!! but i think i've got a better idea of how to draw it after drawing this...that'll have to wait, i got alot of work...

then i didn't feel like waiting for the blur tool to load so i tried seeing if i could cheat...
which turned into messing with filter extremes......since i haven't done that since highschool...

and these things. that last guy was a tough save, i like him now.

i am drawing and animating alotfor work, so....ummmmmm

it'ssssss abstract? switching from photoshop cs 4 to 5, and i was reconstructing and moving some brushes.

PS 5 so far.... is kinda slow. but i have also nearly filled my hardrive, so there's probably more to it than hardware.
